Despicable Me: Minion Rush (Gameloft Barcelona, 2015)

  • Despicable Me: Minion Rush is a F2P game of runner type for mobile and tablet platform on Androïd, iOS and Windows systems. The player controls one of the Minion from the Despicable Me universe and tries to make him run the longest possible without being hit by an obstacle meanwhile collecting precious bananas. Multiple modes exist (Campaign, multiplayer racing, Time Attack…) in addition to the daily TLEs (Time Limited Events) which bring different goals to the game and the updates which add new contents. (costumes with gameplay effects, new environments, new mini-games…)
  • With more than two years of existence, Despicable Me: Minion Rush is one of the most profitable game of Gameloft’s portfolio.
  • Tasks: Define and integrate with in-house tools different type of TLE according to the data gotten from the previous events and also directives from the Game economic designers. Design and integration with in-house engine of different gameplay features for next updates like costumes with gameplay effects or new levels on the campaign map. Provide help for balancing and debugging. Write tutorials about in-house process and tools for the team.
  • Constraints: Work on a project already live on the market, planning special events for local festivities with extra care (e.g. China’s singles day, North America Thanksgiving etc), checking frequently data from previous events and bug reports.
